I have heard them get called different degrading names, the most annoying one being "after one." Its kind of absurd if you were to ask me, all this names just because these ladies decided to have kids.
Children are the best thing a human can have and relate to. The more they grow and mature, the more proud and loving you become as a parent towards them. Its a full time task raising a child. Now you can imagine what single mothers go through doing it all by themselves. From early age, the clinic check ups, sickness, vaccination,baby clothing, and to later things as school fees once the child has grown. It not easy yet these ladies do it all by themselves. Its about time society recognizes their efforts and stop criticizing them of mistakes of the past. After all, no woman out there wants to raise a child by herself. Its just a situation women find themselves in.
Imagine if they were to abandon their children too, what would happen to our society? But its the same society that gives them stick. There is so much negativity towards single mothers. In some African cultures,its not encouraged to marry a woman with child. It is believed she will always run back to the father of the child once he decides to make unexpected return..Others look at it from the economic side of things. That raising someone else child as your first born is pure madness, for he/she will consume all the resources and by the time you have other children, there will be nothing left for them. I can go on and on about all this crazy unproven allegations, but i will not, for personally i believe that is not the case.
Women have learnt not to rely hundred percent on their man financial wise. Most women have managed to start their own businesses. Others have become even more educated. Some women have gone on to hold big positions in most companies, something that was rare in the past. Women are even running for presidency. This shows you the big role they play in society. I believe if you love your woman unconditional, and love her child as yours, she will never ran back to a a man who abandoned her when she needed him the most.
I never get man who go about bragging that they have a child, yet they have not seen him for years, do not know what he/she eats nor drinks, and where he/she sleeps. All they excited about is that they have a child..Such man are called sperm donors, for they do not deserve to be called fathers. Big shout out to all the responsible fathers out there. We love you and appreciate you for holding it down.
When the father of the child refuses to be responsible and the woman has to raise a child on her own, it is difficult, although they may not go crying about it. . For it makes her to have difficulties trusting a man again. It also halts her plans, especially if she has no family support. I also leaves the child to be raised without a father. This is a major blow to the child,basically you are denying the child his/her rights.
As for single mothers, i find them more understanding,loving,caring and forgiving. They usually humble and down to earth for they have seen it all. The fact that they are honest and straight forward makes them even more attractive. So if you have found the right partner to spend the rest of your life with, just open your heart, love unconditionally and learn to forgive. And if it happens to be with a woman who has a child, then let love lead..
